The Creator defines humanity

And God said, Let vs make man in our Image, after our likenesse: and let them haue dominion ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the aire, and ouer the cattell, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery creeping thing that creepeth vpon the earth. So God created man in his owne Image, in the Image of God created hee him; male and female created hee them. And God blessed them, and God said vnto them, Be fruitfull, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and haue dominion ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the aire, and ouer euery liuing thing that mooueth vpon the earth.
 - Genesis 1:26-28 KJV-1611

The first prophecy defines marriage

The first man (and first prophet) defines marriage:

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shalbe called woman, because shee was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leaue his father and his mother, and shall cleaue vnto his wife: and they shalbe one flesh. And they were both naked, the man & his wife, and were not ashamed.
 - Genesis 2:23-25 KJV-1611

An invaluable, but little noticed, gift

"[F]or if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one--Jesus Christ."   - Romans 5:17 YLT

It is the "abundance" of the "free gift" of Righteousness that is not being reported. The begotten again have received the gift. But the reports of receiving and enjoying the abundance of the gift, and of reigning in life, seem but faint echoes of the words of the apostles.

The Special Nature of Saving Faith

Romans 8:16 KJV The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
The peculiar persistent internal spiritual witness possessed by the born again. Note that the indwelling Holy Spirit is supporting the witness of the new human personal spirit of the born again.
Ephesians 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
The saved person is not the source of saving faith.
Nominally Christian belief, trust, and works may be the result of saving faith.
But, in many, belief, trust, and works may merely indicate the natural human response to that which is accepted as good.
The persistent, internal, spiritual witness marks the difference.

No recompense but Truth

"Scholarship asks, thank God, no recompense but Truth. It is not for the sake of material reward that she (Scholarship) pursues her (Truth) through the undergrowth of Ignorance, shining on Obscurity the bright torch of Reason and clearing aside the tangled thorns of Error with the keen secateurs of Intellect. Nor is it for the sake of public glory and the applause of the multitude: the scholar is indifferent to vulgar acclaim. Nor is it even in the hope that those few intimate friends who have observed at first hand the labor of the chase will mark with a word or two of discerning congratulation its eventual achievement. Which is very fortunate, because they don't."
